You may notice our fancy new interface when inside a zone. No longer do you need to reload a page every time you move, thanks to the miracle of Javascript. Downside: it doesn't work in IE yet. Hold tight.
3/4/08:
Special assignments have been redone: instead of randomly getting them when signing up for an assignment, you can now use special devices scattered around zones to contact your faction leaders and receive tasks. You can have a special task and faction assignment active simultaneously- just find a yellow RSDIO machine to sign up for one.
1/14/08:
The Industrial Zone has been given a redesign. You'll find there is now much less empty space in the zone, greatly facilitating travel. More importantly, it also looks much prettier. (For an industrial wasteland.) The mine in the slag heaps is also now open.
1/10/08:
Mining has been completely revamped! It is now a fresh, exciting minigame where you dig around in a grid of dirt for buried treasure. Improving your mining skills will allow you to dig longer and more efficaciously, and better digging implements increase the amount of earth you can move at once. See the help section on Mining for more info. Try it out!
The mines in the Upper Sewers and the entrance mine in the Subway have been redone to use the new mining system. Others to follow soon.
12/30/07:
Elemental damage is now reduced slightly by your fortitude or perception stat, depending on which element the damage in question is.
Decagon City is an online browser-based multiplayer game that takes place in the titular Decagon City, where high-powered firearms, occult magic, and fighting between the six factions of the city have become part of daily living. Try it out, homeslice. You just might like it!
Requirements
Decagon City requires Javascript and a monitor that isn't crazy-small. Decagon City runs fine in Firefox 1.5+ and IE 6+; using anything else is a crapshoot. Maybe it'll work! Maybe not!
